As part of furthering the national effort to enhance practical and vocational skills, the Vocational Training Centre offer a variety of professional qualifications to all Sri Lankans. The idea is to empower school leavers and skilled workers to improve their technical skills so that they can enter the labour market in full confidence.

The VTC is a branch of the National Youth Services Council which is authorised to offer National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) to all successful undergraduates. Having an NVQ is a valuable asset to approach the labour market in your chosen field as it certifies your practical and technical skill and not just academic knowledge.
